We made this A2 study in the breeding Bomas in Mkomazi.

For twenty years we have worked with this African wilddog breeding programme pioneered by Tony and Lucy fitzjohn. African wilddogs are an indicator species at the top of the food chain. Where there are healthy numbers of wilddog, so the nature is in balance. The converse is also true. Once shot for the effective and visceral manner in which they hunt down and kill their prey the African wilddog is now on the CITES ‘red list’ and one of the most highly endangered predators in African today.
